I am used to labels with my extensive mental health history so today's eating disorder assessment label wasn't a shock. I have been diagnosed officially with Bulimia and am going to do treatment from next month.
I don't know quite how I feel....?
Best of luck in treatment! I hope you come out of it feeling better, and being better. I find that labels don't really do much for me, but they allow other people to have a sort of "thing" that they can say is wrong with me. If there's a "thing" wrong with me then they can fix it. Anyway, take care of you, sweetie!
Good luck! Treatment will be a good experience, I'm guessing. It's not scary and it teaches a lot of useful stuff. Just try not to get stuck in the label. Bulimia is a disease, not you, and you are not bulimic. You are a wonderful person who happens to have bulimia.
I'm right there with you sweetie. I'll be updating my blog to say more. But right there by your side.
ReplyDeleteXOXO

Good luck with treatment sweetie. I know it's hard but like others said, try not to get too caught up in labels.
